New Orleans Pelicans big man Jaxson Hayes was tasered and restrained by LAPD police last week after failing to cooperate. Apparently, his behavior has really irked the cops.

Per TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Protective League has filed a complaint to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to reprimand Hayes for his actions. According to the police, the former Texas standout refused orders, yelled the N-word at officers, and even pushed a cop so hard that it injured a much smaller man. Keep in mind, Jaxson Hayes is 6-foot-11, so it makes sense why it took so many guys to actually take him down.

Here is part of the letter:

“Mr. Silver,” the officers said in the letter, “the actions of your player were unlawful, completely unacceptable and are as clear a prima facie case of violating several of the National Basketball Association policies as we have seen.”

“We respectfully request that you immediately initiate a thorough investigation into Mr. Jaxson Hayes' actions before, during and after the incident and to take appropriate corrective action to hold Mr. Hayes accountable.”

The LAPD union is also encouraging the NBA to investigate the use of the N-word by Hayes, likening it to Meyers Leonard's anti-semitic slur made on a video game stream. Whether the league does take further action and punish Jaxson Hayes remains to be seen, but it appears this whole situation is long from over. He was also left with significant injuries in the scuff-up.
