New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball is happy for small forward Brandon Ingram, who won the Western Conference Player of the Week Award for Week 10 of the 2019-20 season.

Ingram averaged 25.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists as the Pelicans went an impressive 4-0 last week.

Brandon Ingram figures to get paid next summer when he enters restricted free agency. The 22-year-old is putting up 25.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game for the Pelicans this season while shooting 49.1 percent from the floor, 40.9 percent from the 3-point line and 85.7 percent from the charity stripe.

As a restricted free agent, Ingram can sign an offer sheet with any team and then the Pelicans would have 48 hours to match the deal or let the talented swingman walk for nothing. Ingram is making $7.3 million this season. His qualifying offer is worth $9.5 million.

New Orleans is 11-23 on the season, but their four-game winning streak after an ugly loss to the Golden State Warriors has them on the upswing. They are still waiting for No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson to make his regular-season debut after he underwent surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in October.

In his first season with the Pelicans, Lonzo Ball is averaging 10.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists while shooting 38.3 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from beyond the arc and 50.0 percent from the free-throw line.
