New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball tweaked his jump shot form over the summer and now the former No. 2 overall pick has a more consistent jumper.

Ball says he didn't make any drastic changes with his shot and took it step by step:

“We just take it step by step,” Ball told Andrew Lopez of ESPN. “It wasn't a drastic change from the beginning. I kind of got here and he just started with my follow-through. We started with legs after that. Then we started from the left to the middle to get it to the right.

“I think now my shot is just more consistent. It feels the same throughout the game instead of how I had it last year when it was kind of adjusting throughout the game. It just comes with hard work. I’m going to keep working and hopefully [shooting percentages] will keep going up.”

In his first season with the Pelicans, Ball is averaging 10.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists while shooting 38.2 percent from the field, 34.0 percent from beyond the arc and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pelicans are only 6-18 on the season, but the franchise has to be happy with Ball's new jumper. Odds are the 22-year-old will continue to get more accurate from deep as his career moves along in The Big Easy.
