New Orleans Pelicans small forward Brandon Ingram suffered a right ankle sprain on Thursday against the Chicago Bulls.

Ingram left the game and never returned. A Pelicans team source told Andrew Lopez of ESPN the severity of the sprain is unknown at this time since they have to wait until the swelling goes down:

Ingram is headed to his first All-Star game this season. The talented swingman came into Thursday averaging 25.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 47.3 percent from the field, 40.0 percent from beyond the arc and 86.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pelicans easily defeated the Bulls despite losing Ingram. New Orleans won by a final score of 125-119. Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 21 points in 24 minutes of action.
