The New Orleans Pelicans are going to be extremely shorthanded against the Miami Heat on Saturday. Lonzo Ball, Jahlil Okafor, and JJ Redick are all out, while Brandon Ingram is questionable:

The Pelicans are 3-8 on the season. They are coming off an impressive win over the Los Angeles Clippers. However, it's going to be very tough for New Orleans to defeat the Heat without Ball, Redick, and most likely Ingram.

Saturday will be the fourth straight game the Pelicans will play without Ball, who is averaging 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists on the season while shooting 41.5 percent from the field, 36.7 percent from beyond the arc and 60.0 percent from the free-throw line. As of right now, New Orleans is listing Ball as day-to-day.

Redick played 34 minutes versus the Clippers. He put up 19 points. Overall on the season, the sharpshooter is averaging 12.7 points and shooting 40.4 percent from the floor and 45.2 percent from the 3-point line.

Without Ball and Redick, Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday will need to have a big game versus the Heat if the Pelicans want to pull off the upset. Holiday is coming off his best game of the season. He finished with 36 points against the Clippers, snapping out of his early-season funk.
