New Orleans Pelicans Rajon Rondo has been involved in a lot of playoffs wars in his career, but this second-round series with the Golden State Warriors could end up as among the most memorable ones he’s been part of – especially if he and Draymond Green continue their antics.

In Game 3 of the series, the Pelicans finally notched a win over Golden State with a 119-110 victory, but other than the win, the biggest takeaway perhaps from the contest was the seemingly growing animosity between Rondo and Green. The two added to their run-ins portfolio when late in the fourth quarter of Friday night’s meeting, Rondo was called for a technical after he tried to trip the Warriors' do-it-all forward.

It was to be expected that Rondo and Green were going to be asked about what’s going on between them in this series. During the presser after Game 3, Rondo clarified that he’s not trying to coax Green into losing his focus or patience. He also resorted to the time-tested and generic go-to answer when he tried to explain what happened, saying that it’s just a product of their competitiveness.

In any case, the referees and the fans are surely going to keep a close eye on these two competitors moving forward in the series.

Rondo will try to build upon his impressive performance in Game 3 in which he posted four points, 21 assists, and 10 rebounds. Green, meanwhile, wasn’t too shabby himself with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. Game 4 is set to be played this Sunday in New Orleans before shifting back to the Bay Area for Game 5.
