It's the season of giving, and New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball is in the holiday spirit.

Ball, in his first season with the Pelicans, gave all of his teammates in New Orleans a custom Xbox:

Ball is trying to do whatever he can to lift the spirits of his teammates. The Pelicans have lost 12 games in a row and are just 6-21 on the season.

A season of optimism in New Orleans came to a halt after No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson underwent surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus before the season started. It is still unclear when Williamson will play this season.

Ball has appeared in 19 games this season for the Pelicans. He's averaging 10.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists while shooting 37.4 percent from the field, 33.9 percent from beyond the arc and 59.1 percent from the free-throw line.

Barring a drastic change, all signs point toward the Pelicans missing the playoffs this season. There are some around the league who believe Williamson shouldn't play a single minute in 2019-20 and focus on his rehab.

For now, Williamson will have some time to play his new Xbox since he's not close to playing.

This was a great gesture by Ball. The third-year guard continues to prove he's a great teammate and person.
