Through his first five years in the league, Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond has developed into one of the top centers of today.

Despite that, Drummond has continued to face criticism over social media that he decided to send a witty response back to a hater via Twitter.

The 24-year-old did experience a noticeable dip in his production last season, but he has remained a constant source of production as he has averaged a double-double in each of the last four seasons with at least 13.0 points and 13.0 rebounds in each campaign. This helped him earn his first All-Star Game selection, an All-NBA Third Team nod. He even led the league in rebounding during the 2015-16 season.

Andre Drummond may hit a plateau in his development but has become a stabilizing presence on the floor for the Pistons over his brief NBA career. What should also be taken into consideration is that he has just entered his mid-20s and could see plenty of progression in his offensive game moving forward.

However, this shouldn't overshadow the growing chatter that was present over the offseason and parts of last year that he was available in the trade market. If he can bounce back while showing some improvement in his individual game this season, it should silence the critics and potential trade talk that could arise at some point down the line.
