There's a lot of action involving French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain right now. Kylian Mbappe is on the verge of leaving PSG for Real Madrid, and there are also rumors of Lionel Messi planning an exit strategy.

A report from Alex Candal of DIRECTV Sports claims Messi will sign with Major League Soccer's Inter Miami in 2023 and that he even plans to buy a 35% stake in the club. The legendary David Beckham, who briefly played for PSG to close out his career, is one of the owners of Inter Miami.

However, Messi's camp has already delivered a denial to the French outlet Le Parisien. Here's that statement, via Goal.com:

“It is completely false. Leo has not yet decided on his future,” the statement from the PSG star's entourage reads.

Lionel Messi joined PSG on a two-year deal last summer when he came via free transfer from Barcelona, his longtime club. He also has the option of another year with the French club, but these MLS rumors are only getting louder.

Messi is 34 years old and entering the twilight of his career, so perhaps he wants a new MLS challenge in the United States after starring for so many years in Europe. The possibility of ownership is also alluring, especially if he's teaming up with Beckham.

For now, Messi will be playing for PSG, which is bracing for the major loss of Mbappe. But it seems as if a move to Inter Miami could be a possibility in the future.
