Lionel Messi joined PSG on a two-year deal last summer when he came via free transfer from Barcelona, his longtime club. He also has the option of another year with the French club, but these MLS rumors are only getting louder.

Messi is 34 years old and entering the twilight of his career, so perhaps he wants a new MLS challenge in the United States after starring for so many years in Europe. The possibility of ownership is also alluring, especially if he’s teaming up with Beckham.
