Not everyone agrees with the recent protests springing up around the country and the world regarding the recent death of George Floyd as well as racial injustice and police brutality. On Sunday, former Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Dez Bryant called out his former teammate and current Las Vegas Raiders tight end Jason Witten for his political and societal views.

In the same tweet, the three-time Pro Bowler also called out Cowboys ownership with Stephen and Jerry Jones.

However, Bryant's choice to call out Jason Witten backfired a bit when the veteran tight end replied to Bryant, agreed with his talking points, and stated that he tried to contact his former teammate after seeing the original tweet.

On the field, both players are past their primes with Bryant having not played in a game since 2017 despite multiple comeback attempts. The former star was with the New Orleans Saints in 2018 but missed the entire season while he rehabbed an Achilles tendon injury.

As for Jason Witten, the Cowboys legend ended his one-year retirement and brief broadcasting career in February of 2019 to return to Dallas. Last season, the future Hall of Famer started all 16 games where he caught 63 passes for 529 yards and four touchdowns.

Already 38 years old, it was thought that Witten might retire after last season but instead, the 11-time Pro Bowler signed a one year deal with the Raiders worth $4 million.

With breakout star Darren Waller already slotted at tight end for the Raiders, it is unclear what kind of role Witten will have with his new team as well as how much longer he will play before retiring for a second time.
