Every one of Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Michael Crabtree’s necklaces can now let out a huge sigh of relief. According to Los Angeles Rams cornerback Aqib Talib, his discord with Crabtree is now over, per team insider Myles Simmons.

Practice just finished and we just head from CB Aqib Talib. Nothing at all happened with him and WR Michael Crabtree this week. Asked about it, Talib said, “That ****’s dead.”

Not a lot of joint practices get hyped up like it’s a rivalry matchup, but the one that occurred on Monday between the Rams and the Ravens just had that kind of flavor, thanks to the intriguing past of Aqib Talib and Michael Crabtree. However, neither a fight nor any chain-grabbing incident occurred, as the two evidently decided to act like true professionals.

It could be remembered that Talib snatched Crabtree’s chain in each of their previous two meetings – back when Talib was still with the Denver Broncos and Crabtree with the Oakland Raiders.

It’s only just smart for the two players to end their enmity since they’re now playing in different conferences. There’s no need to perpetuate an on-field rivalry between two players that won’t see each other in the regular season. That said, the Rams and the Ravens will meet each other this Thursday in a preseason matchup.

With the incident now seemingly behind them, the focus is on whether they will have success in their respective new teams. Talib adds experience to an already stacked Rams defense, while Crabtree provides depth to the Ravens’ receiving corps.
