The New York Rangers entered Tuesday night's pivotal Game 4 against the Carolina Hurricanes with a chance to even up the series. The Hurricanes led the Eastern Conference Semifinal series two games to one, with each team winning on home ice thus far.

The Rangers once again played very well in front of the Madison Square Garden crowd, helping New York to a series-tying victory. In the win, Rangers defenseman Adam Fox made some history.

Late in the first period, Fox scored giving the Rangers a 2-0 lead. The goal was Fox' 13th point this postseason. Only legendary Rangers defenseman Brian Leetch has had more through the team's first 11 playoff games.

Of course, Leetch is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, being inducted in 2009. In 2017, Leetch was named one of the top 100 players in the history of hockey. Anytime you are compared to him, that's a true feather in your cap.

New York went on to score a couple more in a 4-1 win. The Rangers are looking to once again come from behind to win a playoff series. They trailed the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-1 in their opening round series, before winning three straight.

The series is evened heading back to Carolina. The Rangers will have their work cut out for them though. The Hurricanes are yet to lose a home game in the playoffs, posting a 6-0 record. They have outscored their opponents 22-7 in those six games.

Nevertheless, the Rangers are going to have to find a way to win a game in Raleigh if they want to reach the Eastern Conference Finals.
