The Toronto Raptors scored a huge win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, 115-109, and it was thanks in large part to a huge performance by Raptors guard Fred VanVleet. The 27-year-old combo guard also hit a dagger trey with less than a minute remaining in the game and it prompted quite a celebration from him.

Unfortunately for VanVleet, however, his decision to bust out the infamous “big balls” celly just cost him $15,000 (h/t Ballislife.com on Twitter):

This isn't the first time a player has been fined for this gesture, which the NBA deems as obscene. That's 15,000 big ones that's going to be burning a hole in VanVleet's deep pockets. For what it's worth, the Raptors star is expected to pocket $19.7 million in salaries this season, so this clearly won't hurt too much.

VanVleet came up big for Toronto in this one, logging a team-high 32 points on 11-of-22 shooting and 6-of-11 from downtown. The Raptors guard also logged six rebounds, seven assists, and a steal as he led his team to its seventh win of the season.

Thanks to VanVleet's heroics, Toronto was able to snap a three-game losing skid. They return to action on Saturday to face off against the Detroit Pistons at home.
