The Toronto Raptors have taken a commanding 3-1 series lead against the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals after winning Game 4, 105-92 Friday night. Kawhi Leonard was unstoppable once again, scoring 36 points, including 17 in the third quarter that helped erase a 12-point lead by the Dubs. Now he's one win away from winning his second NBA championship.

Because of Leonard's impressive play in the Finals, a lot of people can't help but wonder about what he could have done in 2017. Kawhi, who was a member of the San Antonio Spurs that year, faced Golden State in the Western Conference Finals. He led the Spurs to a 23-point lead in Game 1 before suffering an injury that was caused by Zaza Pachulia by stepping into the landing space for Kawhi, who was attempting a jump shot. San Antonio lost that series, and one year later, it lost Leonard too.

However, Leonard no longer has an interest in talking about Pachulia and what happened in the past. In his interview with The Athletic's Michael Lee, the All-Star forward simply said he's solely focused on what's happening in the present.

“I don’t think about what happened two years ago. Pretty much living in the now.”

Two years removed from the devastating injury, Leonard has regained the recognition of not only the entire league but also millions of fans who thought he was done. Now, he's about to lead the Raptors to a title, and it seems like there's no stopping him from taking out the Warriors this time around.
