Because of the pandemic, fans were not allowed back into Toronto's home arenas until recently. Due to this, the next trip for the Brooklyn Nets will be the first in a long time for Kevin Durant, who missed significant time before the pandemic due to injury. Durant, who has always been held in affection by the fans in Toronto, had this to say via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN:

The “ridiculous” crowds that he is talking about contained plenty of star-studded fans in attendance, most notably Raptors superfan and world-famous rapper Drake. Now, this might not be the HUGE type of game that Drake needs in order to show his face in the arena, it is pretty close to that as the Raptors and Nets look to rekindle their divisional rivalry from the past few years.

Brooklyn has been the better team so far this year, but not by much. The Nets 6-3 record is only a half of a game better than the Raptors record of 6-4 is, so these teams will surely be looking to get the victory as the winner of the game will be higher up in the standings. The eastern conference has been extremely tight at the top the past few years and when playoff time comes around, we may be looking at this matchup as one of the games that decided the division, even though we are still in the first week of November. That is how big these divisional games are, so get your popcorn ready.
