On Wednesday DeMar DeRozan deleted his Instagram which fueled some rumors about his future with the Toronto Raptors. On Monday there was some buzz about the Raptors being the front-runners to land Kawhi Leonard, and that DeRozan could maybe be involved in such a trade.

According to Michael Grange of Rogers Sportsnet sources close to DeRozan said that the deleting of the Instagram had nothing to do with the rumors and ‘he deleted his Instagram, nothing else’.

The rumors aren't going away, and there have been rumors all offseason that DeRozan could be moved as the team tries to find something to get the team over the hump. Ramona Shelbourne of ESPN was on “The Jump” on Thursday and discussed a potential Leonard for DeRozan swap.

“It will be interesting to see what Toronto does this year because it's really hard to live up to what they did last year, and then get swept the way they did,” Shelbourne said. “I don't think he would sign an extension there, or at least he would go in there thinking that. They're the proverbial team that did what … Oklahoma City did last year with Paul George and say, ‘You know what? Let's gamble and take the risk. Let's do it.'

It would be a big risk to take on trading DeRozan for maybe just one year with Leonard, but everyone thought that George would leave for the Lakers after one season with the Oklahoma City Thunder and that isn't what happened. Maybe it's a risk the Raptors are willing to take on.
