Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby has played an integral role in the team's success in the 2018-19 NBA season. It appears there is no shortage of motivation fueling him to live out his NBA dreams.

Anunoby has shown plenty of promise early in his career. He pinpointed what it is exactly that inspires him to play:

“It's very important to stay mentally sharp. Just stay fresh and not burn yourself out,” Anunoby said. “I thank my dad and my brother for being my biggest inspiration and staying on me to work hard and be diligent in everything I do.”

It is safe to say Anunoby has managed to do just that so far in Toronto. He was initially selected by the Raptors with the 23rd overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Although he has largely been a rotational player, he has started to see an increase in his workload as of late.

OG Anunoby is currently averaging 7.1 points on 44.6 percent shooting from the field and 34.3 percent from deep. The reason behind his modest production is that he has taken a backseat to the other star players on the team such as Kawhi Leonard, Kyle Lowry, and Pascal Siakam. Regardless, there is no question that Anunoby will play an important role for the Raptors down the final stretch of the season and into the playoffs.

Despite all the changes in Toronto prior to the season, the expectations are still as high as ever. They will look to close the gap for the first seed in the East with a win over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday.
