Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was the trade deadline prize for the Washington Redskins, who traded a fourth-round pick to the Green Bay Packers to get him. He is set to hit free agency this coming offseason, but that isn't a major concern for the Redskins at this point in time. Despite his upcoming free agency, Clinton-Dix seems to be happy to start a new chapter of his career.

In an interview shared by John Keim of ESPN, Clinton-Dix stated that he is ready to step in and help the Redskins in any way that he can this season.

“Check this out, all right. I came here to play. I came here to work. Even if that’s on special teams or just helping contribute to this team any way I can, the No. 20 is going to be suited up this weekend. You can bet on that.”

Clinton-Dix also talked about former Redskins' star safety Sean Taylor, who tragically passed away a few years back.

“He’s one of the best ever to play this game, and that’s not just for money but for love of the game. He’s a leader. He didn’t talk much, but he led by example and he set great examples. That’s someone you want to admire, someone you want to feed off of. There’s no way I can be Sean Taylor, but he’s a guy I look up to and I model my game after him.”

Throughout the first seven games of the 2018 NFL season with the Packers, Clinton-Dix racked up 27 tackles to go along with a sack, a forced fumble, three interceptions, and three defended passes.

At 25 years old, Clinton-Dix is in his prime and should be a massive pickup for the Redskins' defense. If they can find a way to re-sign him long-term, this trade will go down as a major steal.
