The dynamic duo of Jrue Holiday and Anthony Davis will be once again reunited as the latter will battle through his thigh soreness to play Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers, according to Fox Sports' Jennifer Hale.

Davis sat out last game against the Orlando Magic, resulting in yet another loss for the New Orleans Pelicans, who now sit at the bottom of the Western Conference.

Holiday will make his season debut on an under-30 minutes restriction after being away from the team for the past three months, per Hale.

Fun fact — once Davis and Holiday step on the floor, it will be the first time they've played together since the Pelicans hosted the Blazers last season on March 18.

Head coach Alvin Gentry, who is coaching his 800th game tonight, announced backup center Alexis Ajinca will sit out tonight, making the presence of Davis all the more important.

Ajinca, who had a left shoulder injury, went from probable, to questionable, to ruled out in a span of 18 hours.
