According to Friday’s NBA officiating report, the league stated that the officials should have called an offensive foul on James Harden in the final seconds before his game-winning shot over Andre Iguodala.

With just 2.7 seconds left, Harden pushed off Iguodala while driving to the basket to drain the final shot and beat the Warriors 97-96, sending the series to at least five games.

Per the NBA Officiating Last Two Minute Report:

“Harden (Houston) initiates the contact with Iguodala (Golden State) to create space and dislodges him from his legal guarding position,”

The no-call was a much-needed break for the Houston Rockets, who were down two games to none heading into Thursday night’s matchup. The Rockets now have one more game at home in Houston before traveling back to Oakland to face the Warriors on their home turf.

Unfortunately for them, it might be too little too late as the Warriors expect to have Curry back for game 4 and have been competitive even without their MVP. The Rockets will try to push the series to six games when the two teams face off again on Sunday at 3:30pm (EST).
