Houston Rockets forward Ryan Anderson will miss the next two weeks due to a right ankle sprain, head coach Mike D'Antoni told reporters Sunday morning.

Anderson suffered the injury during Friday night's battle with New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins, stepping on his foot while wrestling for position. Boogie had previously accused Anderson of constantly flopping throughout the game, causing unnecessary stoppages and reviews from the refereeing crew, and ultimately resulting in a 10-point win for the Rockets.

Houston is hopeful that its sharp-shooting forward can make the last two games of the season before revving up for the playoffs, according to ESPN's Calvin Watkins.

Anderson has averaged 13.5 points and 4.7 rebounds on 39.7 percent shooting from deep throughout 68 games this season. His perimeter artillery along with Eric Gordon‘s has played a major part on James Harden leading the league in assists with 11.3 per game.

His absence will likely give room to Sam Dekker and Montrezl Harrell for more minutes in the rotation, with one able to stretch the floor and shoot the three, and the other to out-hustle the opposition on the boards with his long-lasting engine.
