Allen Iverson and Houston Rockets star James Harden have partnered to produce a collaboration between Adidas and Reebok for the new Question Mid “OG Meets OG.”

The bold black-and-red pattern pays homage to the Rockets star and league's leading scorer, a title Iverson held four times during his playing career.

Speaking with GQ Magazine, Iverson detailed why he chose Harden as a partner for his new sneaker launch:

“Why not? He’s an assassin, a killer on the basketball court. And I like to think my name would come up when it comes to that, too,” said Iverson. “I'm a big fan. James is going to be legendary. Definitely going to be a Hall of Famer. Hopefully he'll win a title. So honestly, it's just an honor, you know what I mean?”

The Rockets star already has the scoring title locked up this season, giving him three in a row. Iverson won three scoring titles within a four-year range and four within seven seasons.

But the collaboration goes beyond the accomplishments, extending into Iverson seeing a part of his assassin mentality and self-confidence:

“That too. And then, just his mentality of, “I'm me, and this is what you get. All I can be is me, and all I want to be is me.” I love that about him,” said Iverson. “I love that he's comfortable in his own skin.”

The shoes are as bold as they were during Iverson's playing days, featuring sturdy nubuck leather with some punchy contrast, as well as the iconic honeycomb bubble with white accents.

As far as sneakers are concerned, this Harden and Iverson collaboration is a match made in heaven. Meanwhile, Harden's Rockets are currently in heaven in the NBA bubble after incredible wins over the Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks.
