Veteran shooting guard Arron Afflalo worked out for the Houston Rockets Thursday in their Las Vegas mini camp, according to Alykhan Bijani and Kelly Iko of The Athletic.

Arron Afflalo last played in the NBA during the 2017-18 season with the Orlando Magic. He appeared in 53 games and averaged 3.4 points and 1.2 rebounds while shooting 40.1 percent from the field, 38.6 percent from beyond the arc and 84.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Rockets had multiple players in their Las Vegas mini camp. The franchise could add another player to the roster before training camp starts.

Afflalo, now 33, has career NBA averages of 10.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 762 games with the Detroit Pistons, Denver Nuggets, Magic, Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks and Sacramento Kings. He's had two stints with the Nuggets and Magic.

The Rockets have a great chance to win the Western Conference in 2019-20. The Golden State Warriors don’t have Kevin Durant anymore and will be without Klay Thompson for a big chunk of the season.

Houston is the only team in the NBA with two MVPs on its roster in James Harden and Russell Westbrook. Harden has led the league in scoring the past two seasons, while Westbrook has averaged a triple-double three years in a row.
