Christian Wood has taken a massive leap in his first season with the Houston Rockets. However, the 6-foot-10 forward-center is still hungry to prove himself and believes he will be a max player in the future.

You gotta love the confidence from the big man.

Wood has definitely been a revelation this season. Despite the Rockets' dismal record, the 6-foot-10 big man has surprised a lot of people with his guard-like skills and his ability to handle the basketball. There's a reason people once called him G-League Giannis.

In addition, Wood has also proven to be a steady shooter from the perimeter. Averaging 21.1 points and 9.8 rebounds for the Rockets, Wood is shooting a steady 37.7 percent from long range and 52.4 percent from the field overall.

Wood signed a 3-year, $41-million deal with Houston this past offseason. His price tag is looking to be quite the bargain considering the way he is playing this season. His trajectory should only get higher next year as he continues to take a leadership role with the Rockets.

Wood went undrafted out of UNLV. He didn't play much in his first three seasons in the NBA and even spent time playing overseason. The Long Beach, California native finally got his big break in the NBA last season with the Detroit Pistons and showed plenty of promise. He is finally able to show his true potential with the Rockets.

Nevertheless, Wood still believes the sky is the limit for him. And he wants a big bag when he's up for another payday.
