The Houston Rockets are mired in a horrific losing streak that has them dead last in the NBA. But thinking big picture, there's still plenty to be excited about if you're a Clutch City fan.

Right at the top of the list is Jalen Green. The Rockets neophyte hasn't been setting the league on fire, but he's shown flashes of the scorer he could become once he adjusts to the NBA game and his body matures.

Green's only in his first year, but he's already made a promise to the city of Houston.

Via The Athletic's Kelly Iko:

“I wanna be in Houston for a long time,” declared the Rockets rookie.

Jalen Green wants to lead Houston into the future. While it's obviously extremely early in his career to be able to prove it, the statement is still music to the ears of Rockets fans who just dealt with the loss of franchise icon James Harden last season.

There's still a lot to evaluate with the Rockets' current pool of talent. Guys like Green, Kevin Porter Jr., Alperen Sengun, and Jae'Sean Tate all look to be a part of what Houston is building. With another upcoming top draft pick on the horizon, the Rockets will be launching towards the right direction soon enough.
