Russell Westbrook and the entire Houston Rockets squad have locked into “playoff mode” and will be staying away from social media for the time being.

Russell Westbrook, Robert Covington, PJ Tucker and Ben McLemore among others have posted their last photos on Instagram before switching to playoff mode. All Rockets players seem to hint that they'll be off social media during the entire postseason.

The Rockets will kick off their first-round series with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. It's one of the highly anticipated match-ups in the postseason. After all, Westbrook will be facing off with his former team, while Chris Paul has some history with James Harden and head coach Mike D'Antoni.

While Westbrook has locked himself in, he's still actually out due to a quad injury. According to reports,  he will miss Game 1 of the series but will return at some point in the first round. Eric Gordon, who was also out due to a left ankle sprain, has recovered and will replace Westbrook in the starting lineup.

This is the Rockets' eighth consecutive playoff appearance. Last season, they were booted out by the Golden State Warriors (for the second year in a row) in the Western Conference Semifinals. While Houston remains a strong team, analysts are not too convinced that they are as lethal as the 2018 team — the squad that was one win away from making it to the NBA Finals.

Despite this, the Rockets still have two league MVPs in the fold. Not to mention the slew of veterans in their squad with significant playoff experience. They have all the necessary tools to win.
