The Houston Rockets have finally parted ways with James Harden, thus ending a tumultuous start to the season that preceded a dramatic offseason. For head coach Stephen Silas and the Houston organization, the moving of Harden ironically comes as good news despite his talents.

Though the Rockets did pull off one of their biggest trades in franchise history, they may not be done making deals happen, according Kelly Iko of The Athletic.

PJ Tucker has been one of the many players that grew sour with the Rockets organization during the offseason. The front office elected to not offer the 35-year old forward an extension, which definitely didn't sit right with the veteran amongst other topics.

With James Harden out of the way, the Rockets are in need of a backup guard behind John Wall, which is possibly what they'll seek in exchange for Tucker should they look to field calls on him.

Should he be dealt, Tucker will likely find himself on another contender given his age. He can easily fit into any wing position while also proving himself optional as a small-ball piece at the forward or center spot. The ultimate expectation is that most suitors will come from the Eastern Conference in order to boost their talent in the aftermath of the Harden trade.

Despite the overhead cloud that was Harden, the Rockets have shown some decent glimpses of being able to compete at a high level this season. They'll now pair Victor Oladipo in the backcourt with Wall in hopes of improving their 3-6 record at the start of the campaign.
