It may have been seven years since Sacramento Kings guard Iman Shumpert was a rookie for the New York Knicks, but time apparently hasn't helped him forget about what current Houston Rockets forward Carmelo Anthony asked him to do when they were teammates in New York.

In a video posted by TMZ, he recounts this crazy incident.

Apparently, as sort of a rookie initiation, Anthony had asked Shumpert for a bowl of all green Skittles and as we all know, these don’t just come in one color. So the poor first-year player had to buy a bunch of packs, pick them out one by one, and serve them to the then-Knicks star player.

I don’t know about you, but I’m surprised he hadn’t order Shumpert to feed him piece by piece.

Kidding aside, it may have been an embarrassing situation at that time, but something that Shumpert has completely moved on from.

In the NBA, where it’s not uncommon for players to consider each other brothers, form friendship beyond the basketball court, and have a long history of having each other’s backs, it’s good to see that they still find time to have fun.

Now that he’s considered a veteran in this league, maybe being reminded of this tidbit will help Iman Shumpert think of crazier tasks for Marvin Bagley III and the other young players to do.

As fans, we can only hope that it’s as wacky as this one.
