The New Orleans Saints will be without two of their offensive tackles for Week 15. News broke on Friday that both Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk will both be unavailable for the Saints vs Buccaneers game on Sunday. Both linemen are dealing with knee injuries, and are expected to return for Week 16 against the Dolphins.
This is a huge blow for the Saints, who are desperately grasping for wins in order to sneak their way into the playoffs. While their chances against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers weren't great to begin with, the Saints offense is going to have an even harder time putting up points.
Both offensive tackles are extremely important in the production of the Saints' offense. Hill heavily relies on the stability of his offensive line in order to make successful passes. He has solid offensive targets, including dominant running back Alvin Kamara. Hill needs the reliability of players like Armstead and Ramczyk to buy him time in the backfield.
The Saints, Buccaneers matchup wasn't one of the three games in Week 15 that were rescheduled. However, COVID-19 is still negatively impacting the Saints this week. Head coach Sean Payton will not join the team in Tampa Bay due to a positive COVID test. Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen will temporarily take on the role on Sunday.
