Cameron Jordan was unable to finish the game for the New Orleans Saints in Week 15 due to being ejected in the second half. Following the Saints' lopsided win over the Minnesota Vikings on Christmas day, Jordan has been fined $10,500 for throwing a punch versus the Kansas City Chiefs, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Jordan got into an altercation with Andrew Wylie, an offensive tackle for the Chiefs, throwing a punch that led to a flag and him being disqualified from the game. Kansas City would proceed to hand the ball off to Le'Veon Bell on the next play to seal the game for the Chiefs.

Despite Jordan making a questionable decision to punch Wylie, his decision ended up working out for him in the long run. As a result of his punch to Wylie, Jordan was able to witness the birth of his daughter after leaving Sunday's contest.

Earlier this week, Jordan was selected to his sixth Pro Bowl and has had another productive year with the Saints. In 15 starts for New Orleans this season, Jordan has recorded 7.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, and 16 quarterback hits. He's also logged one forced fumble and a pass deflection.

There is no excuse for making a choice to punch a player on the field, regardless of what happened prior to that moment. However, $10,500 seems like a cheap price to pay for being able to be present for the birth of your daughter, especially when he didn't expect to have the chance to be there for his wife.
