The New Orleans Saints appear to making a change at quarterback. Taysom Hill will start this week at quarterback, supplanting Trevor Siemien. That creates a rather large opportunity for fantasy football managers in need of a quarterback.

Hill took all of the first team reps at Monday's practice, with Siemien working with the 2nd team.

Hill is not your prototypical QB. He is not a great thrower of the football. He is not going to throw for 300 yards and three touchdowns to help your team. But he very well might poach some rushing touchdowns from Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram.

Last season Hill filled in for an injured Drew Brees. In the games where he started, he was a huge boost to fantasy teams everywhere.

Hill started four games for the Saints. In those games, he either threw for two touchdowns or ran for touchdowns in every one of them. He has a very strong arm, he is just not the most accurate quarterback. He is not inept throwing the ball though.

He threw for between 232 and 291 yards in three of those four starts. Keep in mind, he is going to run the ball, a lot. He averaged just over 10 carries and 50 yards rushing in those games as well. That helps provide a solid fantasy floor.

The Saints are tied with three other teams for the final wild card spot. So expect Saints head coach Sean Payton to pull out all the stops. With both Kamara and Ingram still not fully healthy, it would make sense to see Hill rushing the ball even more than usual.

New Orleans faces a Dallas Cowboys defense that was shredded by Derek Carr on Thanksgiving.

Even if you are concerned with the matchup vs a normally stout defense, a speculative add of Hill is probably worth your while. After Week 13, Hill and the Saints play the Jets the following week.
