It's been a busy offseason for the Seattle Seahawks as the franchise enters a new era without Russell Wilson. The franchise claims they're not rebuilding, but without a star quarterback and multiple holes on the roster, it's hard to imagine that being the case. We go over what the Seahawks might do in the 2022 NFL Draft with three bold predictions.

Seattle had one of the worst defenses last year after giving up historic numbers through the air. The rushing attack wasn't much better either, so we might see the Seahawks focus on that side of the ball in the NFL Draft. Another area of concern is the offensive line, as it was one of the contributions that frustrated Russell Wilson.

Speaking of quarterbacks, the Seahawks need to find a new leader under center. Right now they have Drew Lock, but it'd be wise to bring in some other talent. Whether it's a veteran or a rookie, nobody knows. However, with the ninth pick overall, Seattle will have plenty of options at their disposal.

With that said, here are three bold Seahawks predictions for the 2022 NFL Draft.

Seahawks Predictions for the 2022 NFL Draft

3. Seattle takes mostly defensive players throughout the draft

Offense wins games but defense wins championships. That's the mantra the front office must follow throughout the NFL Draft. Seattle is hurting for defensive players after letting Bobby Wagner go and Jamal Adams struggling. Look for the Seahawks to emphasize defense throughout most of the draft.

Trading back would be ideal for this franchise as they would reel in a load of picks and potentially acquire a veteran quarterback. Either way, the Seahawks must address several holes on the defense and they can do that come draft weekend. Seattle needs help everywhere, so the front office should focus on selecting who the team feels are the best players available at every pick.

2. The front office emphasizes on building the trenches

Seattle doesn't have to worry about their skills players at all. Between DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Noah Fant, and their several solid running backs, the front office must focus on the offensive line. Protecting the quarterback has been an issue for the Seahawks and it's time to finally resolve the problem.

Luckily for the Seahawks, there are plenty of offensive line prospects to be had. The front office can wait until rounds two or three and still land a solid player to help improve the trenches. Whoever is under center for Seattle will be forever grateful if the team brings in talent for the offensive line.

1. Seahawks find a way to select Malik Willis in round one

At the end of the day, the biggest problem on the roster is the quarterback room. Maybe Drew Lock can figure it out, but based on his career so far, that's not likely. Malik Willis has generated a ton of buzz throughout the draft process and would be a great fit in Seattle. His rushing ability is similar to Russell Wilson and he looks good on tape for the most part.

It would be wise for the Seahawks to select a quarterback early in the first round. Willis would likely challenge Lock for the starting role while also developing the two young quarterbacks. If Seattle can acquire Malik Willis without having to trade up, the front office should pull the trigger immediately.
