Four-time rebounding leader Andre Drummond has finally found a new home as he's poised to take his talents to the Philadelphia 76ers on a one-year deal to back up Joel Embiid.

Drummond with essentially be the backup to Joel Embiid and this makes more sense after Dwight Howard departed Philly and headed back to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Sixers will be Drummond's fourth team in three seasons. After developing into one of the league's most dominant rebounders as a member of the Detroit Pistons from 2012-2019, the 27-year-old was moved to the Cleveland Cavaliers before eventually being bought out by the franchise halfway through the 2020-2021 season. He then looked to help the Lakers' championship defense but the big man couldn't really settle down and find his role for the Purple & Gold.

After a few controversial seasons, Drummond is looking to bounce back and propel the Sixers to another playoff run. It was clear last season that the Sixers lacked some manpower in the block and Drummond's arrival could potentially solve all their frontcourt woes.

Say what you want about Andre Drummond but this workhorse is an elite big and this is an absolutely huge off-season move from the Sixers front office and it seems like a prove-it deal for Drummond himself.
