Brett Brown hasn't been shy about what this summer is all about for the Philadelphia 76ers, they are going to do everything in their power to get this team better in free agency.

After the season ended Brown talked about how the Sixers were one good player away from really competing in the Eastern Conference. Brown has doubled down on the comments, and he says the time is now for the Sixers to go get another superstar.

“The whole notion of star hunting, star chasing, star development is at the forefront of everything we do,” Brown said via Bucks County Courier Times. “I would just like to go there to admit it to all of us. The timeline is now.”

The Sixers have been linked to LeBron James, and they could try to make a run at Kawhi Leonard. Both of those guys would put the Sixers over the edge, and put them close to the favorites of the Eastern Conference.

Brown knows how tough it will be to land one of those guys, or any superstar this summer because there isn't a ton of elite talent to go around.

“I think it’s going to be difficult (to land an elite free agent),” Brown said. “I think it’s going to be a challenge. A tiny number of players (are stars).”

The good news for the Sixers is if they can't land James in free agency, they have a ton of assets like trade picks that they could use to try and land another star to put beside Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
