Doc Rivers is on the wrong end of history once again after his Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Atlanta Hawks in Game 7 of their playoffs series.

After the shocking defeat of the East's top seeds, the Sixers head coach has now tied Rick Adelman for the longest losing streak in Game 7s by any NBA head coach. It is already Rivers' fourth straight Game 7 heartbreak, which followed his final postseason with the Los Angeles Clippers when he blew a 3-1 lead against the Denver Nuggets in the second round.

It was certainly an upsetting loss for Doc Rivers and the Sixers, especially since they were the favorites to come out on top in the series. Heck, only Hawks fans even believed their team had a chance against one of the most dangerous teams in the East.

The Sixers, after all, were deemed as title contenders.

Unfortunately, it just seems like Rivers has lost his competitive touch as another franchise he leads lost in the second round. Philly went up 2-1 in the series before the Hawks won two straight to turn things around.

While Philly won Game 6 to force a Game 7, the Hawks never really wavered and didn't lose confidence with Trae Young leading the way.

Now, Rivers, Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and the rest of the Sixers roster head to the offseason with a lot of questions surrounding their futures with the proud franchise.
