The Philadelphia 76ers superstar center Joel Embiid has been dominating the NBA all season this year. Despite not playing alongside Ben Simmons, Embiid has the Sixers in the thick of the race in the Eastern Conference. The Sixers defeated the Chicago Bulls on the road Sunday, 119-108. In the win, Embiid destroyed the Bulls, posting 40 points and 10 rebounds.
In the victory, Embiid joined Allen Iverson as the only Sixers player in franchise history to score at least 25 points in 20 straight games.

Iverson accomplished that feat during his MVP campaign in the 2000-2001 season. That year, he scored 25 or more points in 27 consecutive games. With the way Embiid is playing, that record could be in jeopardy.
He has been putting up insane numbers lately. Embiid is averaging over 33 points, 11 rebounds and five assists over the course of the last month. He's been extremely efficient also, shooting 52 percent from the field during that time.
Following their win over the Bulls, Embiid and the Sixers are now 32-21. They are only one game behind Chicago and 1.5 games back of the Miami Heat for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Milwaukee Bucks and Cleveland Cavaliers are also in the mix for home court. All five teams are separated by only 1.5 games.

This might put even more pressure on Daryl Morey to try and get a deal done for Simmons.
