Philadelphia 76ers guard Danny Green had some high praises for fellow teammate and All-Star Ben Simmons and Matisse Thybulle. Green, who played with the San Antonio Spurs for eight years, compared both his teammates with him and superstar Kawhi Leonard—one of the best defenders in the league today.

“When me and Kawhi [Leonard] were in San Antonio, we were pretty good on the wings. We prided ourselves on being the best defensive wings in the league. Before I got here, I thought [Thybulle] and Ben were a pretty good tandem. They could be better versions of me and Kawhi when we were younger,” said Green, as reported by Sports Illustrated

The Sixers are currently one of the best defensive teams in the league and it’s no shocker given how well equipped the team is on the defensive end. Not only do they have MVP candidate Joel Embiid but also a Defensive Player of the Year candidate in Simmons. Thybulle, who has always been known for his defense, is also playing his best season in his career with the Sixers.

As of writing, the Sixers have the second-best defensive rating (107)  in the league next to the Los Angeles Lakers. Their lineup of Embiid, Green, Simmons, Curry and Tobias Harris makes a good defensive lineup along with Thybulle from the bench. The Sixers’ defense might be their biggest weapon come playoff time.
