Ben Simmons and the rest of the Philadelphia 76ers have been trusting the process for years now. This season, it seems as though all this trusting has finally paid off as the Sixers have brought their on-court dominance all the way to the post-season with a commanding 3-0 lead against the Washington Wizards.

Ahead of a pivotal Game 4, Simmons opened up on the main reason why the Sixers have been rolling this season.

“I think it's fun knowing we got each other's backs. We're capable of winning games against anybody, and that's the main thing. When you go on to the court, you want to know you got guys who are going to compete at a high level. It's nice to have that,” said Simmons (via SI.com).

The 24-year-old isn't wrong. The Sixers have stamped their class during the regular season with a dominant 49-23 record to claim the East's top-seed. And, so far in the first round of the post-season, Philly has kept their foot on the gas as they continue to dominate the Wizards and its two-headed monster namely Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook.

The locker room bond has been strong and the chemistry has definitely translated to a ton of Ws for the Sixers. Even if Simmons has been rather inconsistent these past three games against the Wizards, guys like Tobias Harris and MVP-candidate Joel Embiid have stepped up to make sure these Sixers go through to the second round unscathed.

After all these years, is it safe to say that the process is finally bearing fruit?
