On Sunday afternoon, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Philadelphia 76ers secured a meeting with LeBron James and his camp, including agent Rich Paul. Unfortunately, it was later discovered that James would not be at the meeting, but the Sixers are still looking forward to the opportunity of impressing and recruiting James.

According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Sixers will be pitching James the opportunity to not only play alongside Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, but also the possibility to play alongside San Antonio Spurs star Kawhi Leonard.

That means the Sixers, who have been in trade talks with the Spurs, are considering themselves strong suitors to land Leonard in a trade, and there's not telling how deadly a pairing of Leonard and James alongside Embiid and Simmons would be.

Sixers co-owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer are reportedly in the free agent pitch to James' agent Rich Paul. At this time, it's unclear if James actually has his decision made and he's just taking meetings to appease certain teams or if he's legitimately undecided and still weight options.

According to Keith Pompey of the Philly Inquirer, there's a legitimate chance that James chooses the Sixers.

Sources have said that this is not an obligatory meeting with James’ representatives. The free agent is really interested in playing for the Sixers, according to the source.

Stay tuned for the latest.
