Ambidextrous is a word used to describe someone who can use their hands equally. For basketball players, it shows their ability to be effective with their weak hand, similar to how they do with the other. Despite not being the most common of words, it is often used during games, especially when someone shows that he can score using the right or left hand.

However on Thursday, during the TNT broadcast of the game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers, Chris Webber got confused with what term to say and accidentally called Sixers rookie Ben Simmons amphibious instead. Marv Albert reacted to his mistake quickly, questioning why he even used that word.

Live broadcasts are always difficult to do without making any mistakes. While it was hilarious to hear Webber describe Simmons as someone who's suitable to live both on land and water, he could be given the benefit of the doubt that he really meant to say the correct term.

May it be ambidextrous or amphibious, what's important for the Australian international is that the Sixers were able to come out with the victory on the night, 108-97. It also sent a strong message to the defending Eastern Conference champions that they are a force to be reckoned with, and will be a difficult team to beat in the playoffs.

There is a chance that both teams could meet again in the postseason, and the Sixers now have the belief in themselves that they can beat the team from Northeast Ohio.
