Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid had an uncharacteristically low-scoring night during Tuesday's victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. After missing a short look in the fourth quarter that was emblematic of his night as a whole, he recovered in time to pull off one of the most dominating jams of the season, sending the Wells Fargo Center and those watching at home into a frenzy:

Embiid collected 17 points Tuesday, just the second time since Dec. 17 that he has finished below the 20-point plateau. He did a whole lot more than score, though, adding 19 rebounds, five assists and four blocks to help key a Sixers home win that keeps them in stride with the Indiana Pacers at 43-25 on the year for the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference.
Embiid's rusty shooting outing (he finished 6-for-16 overall) may also have something to do with the eight-game absence he dealt with coming out of the All-Star break due to knee soreness. He returned to action Sunday against the Pacers. Embiid has taken his play to the next level this season, planting himself in the MVP conversation while averaging 27.2 points, 13.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.
It was a rough night overall for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were playing without a plethora of talent, namely their starting frontcourt of Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson. Second-year big man Ante Zizic filled in admirably attempting to check Embiid most of the night, but there was little anyone in a white jersey could do about a put-back of this magnitude.
