San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has been ejected in the second quarter of their game versus the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. He was clearly seen uttering some choice words to the referee, including “kiss my a**,” which led to his ejection.

The incident happened with still 7:25 left in the second period, after disagreeing with a call. He was clearly frustrated, as his team wasn’t playing according to plan, and were down by 10 points during that time. His assistants, led by Ettore Messina and Ime Udoka took over the coaching duties for the remainder for the game.

Gregg Popovich is known for his brilliant and highly-effective ways so this could very well be him rolling the ball on the ejection to fire up his players.

The Spurs are getting close to returning to full strength as well, as Tony Parker made his season debut on the night, leaving Kawhi Leonard as the lone starter who’s currently inactive for the team.
