Antonio Brown's feet are almost fully healed, and though he lost his second grievance with the NFL, helmet-related absences are apparently behind him. The Oakland Raiders' best player, finally, should be able to devote most of his focus to preparing for the regular season with his new team. It seems so important to him, in fact, that Brown has seemingly washed his hands of the long-simmering feud between he and Ben Roethlisberger.

In an interview with NBC's Michele Tafoya, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback discussed his fractured relationship with Brown, pointing back to a specific incident which he believes “ruined a friendship.”

“Yeah, I wish I wouldn't have done it, you know? Because obviously we saw what happened, and obviously it ruined a friendship. I think I just got caught up in the emotions in the heat of the battle.”

Roethlisberger was referring to calling out Brown for an interception following a loss to the Denver Broncos last season. Their heated sideline debate was caught on camera, too, adding further fuel to a fire of speculation regarding their relationship.

Brown, unsurprisingly, took exception to Roethlisberger's framing of their feud, writing on Twitter that the pair were never true friends and that his former teammate should move on.

Despite acrimony between Brown and Roethlisberger, both future Hall-of-Famers were able to put together stellar seasons in 2018. The former led the league in receiving touchdowns, while the latter topped all quarterbacks in passing yards.

Brown requested a trade from the Steelers in February, being dealt to Oakland a few weeks later in exchange for third and fifth-round draft picks.
