The end of a storied NFL career may be drawing near for superstar quarterback Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Roethlisberger is coming off an ugly five-interception performance and the two-time Super Bowl champion expressed some doubts about whether he can still play at a high level in the NFL.

Apparently, despite publicly doubting his ability, Roethlisberger still believe he's among the best to ever play the quarterback position in the NFL, via Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL.com.

Ultimately, Roethlisberger will almost certainly go down as one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the league. The Steelers legend has won two Super Bowl title and is as tough as they come for a player under center.

Unfortunately, the future of the Steelers franchise hangs in the balance with Roethlisberger battling confidence issues. Even before the 2017 campaign began, the veteran quarterback was seriously considering retirement and his recent play may have pushed him to weigh his options once again after the season.

As for the Steelers, the team is still above .500 at 3-2 heading into Week 6. Pittsburgh may not be the dominant force people expected them to be this season, but there's still a chance to salvage the year and eventually play up to the team's potential leading up to the playoffs.

The Steelers remain atop the AFC North division along with the Baltimore Ravens who also have a record of 3-2. Pittsburgh will go on the road in Week 6 to face arguably the best team in the NFL in the Kansas City Chiefs.
