Pittsburgh Steelers defensive captain Cam Heyward isn't going anywhere. It's been reported that the 31-year old just agreed to a 4-year $71.4 million extension with the Steelers front office. His new contract makes Heyward the highest paid defensive player over the age of 30, on a per-year average.

Heyward confirmed the news on his Twitter page by bringing out his inner Jordan Belfort to announce that he's not leaving Pittsburgh. He tweeted out an edited clip with his face on top of Leonardo DiCaprio's character from the 2013 ‘Wolf of Wall Street' film.

There were a few familiar Steelers characters who had a cameo in Heyward's tweet. Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin, and fellow teammates Ben Roesthlisberger, JuJu Smith-Schuster and T.J. Watt to name a few were all superimposed in the rather amusing clip.

Heyward has been a defensive stalwart for the Steelers ever since he entered the league as Pittsburgh's first round pick in 2011. In nine years with the Black and Gold Brigade, the 31-year old has been the anchor of coach Tomlin's defensive line-up which has been highly-touted for the past few years.

Mainly through Heyward's presence in the defensive line, the Steelers defense had a great year last season as they were able to limit their opponents to 18.9 points per game which was sixth-best in the entire NFL. They also allowed the fifth-fewest yards on a per-game basis at 304.1 yards.

In nine seasons in the NFL, Heyward has been named to the First-Team All-Pro twice (2017 and 2019) and has been selected to the Pro Bowl in three consecutive seasons since 2017. Last year, Heyward had a total of 9 sacks a career-best of 83 combined tackles. It's safe to say that vet has definitely earned his Wall Street-worthy dollars.
