In May, veteran linebacker James Harrison will turn 40 and the thought of continuing his career in the NFL didn't sit well with him. Harrison has decided to call it a career which could very well have him in the Hall of Fame someday for what he was able to accomplish during his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Before signing with and helping lead the New England Patriots to the Super Bowl last season, Harrison had an ugly divorce with the Steelers. Although things didn't end well in Pittsburgh, the two-time Super Bowl champion has no hards feelings, via Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“I have no problem with the Steelers family,’’ said Harrison. “I have no problem with the Rooneys. They made a business decision that was best for their organization. I made a business decision that was best for me and family at the time. We went our separate ways.”

Harrison continued to stress the business aspect of the NFL and how fans struggled to understand that side, via Bouchette.

“Fans get mad because they’re stuck with a team, one team, that’s their team. At the end of the day, it’s a business. Yes, you have loyalties to teams, but when it comes down to it, it’s a job, and when your job fires you, you need to find another job.”

Steelers fans may still not be comfortable with how things went down in Pittsburgh with Harrison. Leaving the team to play for the rival New England Patriots is a hard pill to swallow for the diehards, but in the long run, Harrison will forever be known for his accomplishments in a Steelers uniform.
