Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster registered just two catches for 12 yards in the first half of their Week 9 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

According to NFL345, Smith-Schuster has surpassed Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brandin cooks as the youngest player to register 200 receptions:

At 22 years and 346 days old, Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster surpassed Brandin Cooks (23 years,77 days old) to become the youngest player to reach 200 career receptions in NFL history.

This is now the second consecutive week Smith-Schuster has managed to make history. He broke Hall of Famer Randy Moss' record for 100-yard receiving games before turning 23 by registering his 12th such performance during their Week 8 victory over the Miami Dolphins. It appears to become a habit for the young star at this point.

Unfortunately, Smith-Schuster has cooled off dramatically since enjoying a hot start to his career. It is no secret that Pittsburgh experienced some turnover heading into the 2019 NFL season. However, it was the season-ending injury to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger that has resulted in his underwhelming numbers this year.

Although Smith-Schuster is still trying to prove himself as a bonafide No. 1 option in the passing game, the Steelers have managed to get back on track in the win column with consecutive wins in recent weeks. Regardless, they will need to get their star play on offense going if they want to put a winning streak together.

Fortunately, the return of quarterback Mason Rudolph should also help kick things up a notch in the passing game for Smith-Schuster in the second half of the season.
