Terrelle Pryor grew up about an hour away from Pittsburgh and said he would love for a chance to play for his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers this upcoming season. Pryor was doing a radio interview with SportsRadio 610 and said not only would he love a chance to play with the Steelers, he thinks he would be a great addition to the team.
“Absolutely,” Pryor told SportsRadio610 when asked if he would be interested in signing with the Steelers this offseason. “I believe if I played with them…I’d be right back on the map. I would help JuJu [Smith-Schuster] and AB [Antonio Brown] and some of their younger guys, bring my experience. There are a couple of other teams that would be great fits, but definitely would love that opportunity, especially to play for a coach like Coach Tomlin, that would be awesome.”
Pryor broke into the league as a quarterback before switching to a wide receiver. In 2016 he had a breakout year with the Cleveland Browns catching 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns.
That earned him a one year $10 million contract with the Washington Redskins but the last few years he has struggled. Last season he caught only 16 passes for 232 yards and no touchdowns.
It's unclear if the Steelers have any interest in signing Pryor but if he can get back to the form he had with the Browns he could be a huge help for this team, especially if the team decides to move on from Antonio Brown this offseason.
