The Seattle Storm may have already been eliminated from playoff contention, but that doesn't mean they still aren't must-see TV. With the final days of the regular season here, the Storm are still a team to watch due to the exploits of superstar Jewell Loyd. Loyd has been on a tear this season and is leading the league in scoring. Earlier this week, Loyd surpassed Phoenix Mercury star Diana Taurasi for most points scored in a single season as well as eclipsing Taurasi's mark for most 25+ point games in a season. On Friday against the Dallas Wings, Loyd tied former Minnesota Lynx legend Maya Moore for most 30 point games in a single season.

With 33 points in the Storm's loss to the Wings, Jewell Loyd notched her 12th game this season of scoring at least 30 points. That tied Maya Moore's record. With the Storm having one more regular season game left on Sunday against the Los Angeles Sparks, she has a chance to surpass Moore.

Loyd was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 WNBA Draft by the Storm. She's played her entire career so far with the Storm and was a key player during the 2018 and 2020 championship runs. A five-time All-Star, Loyd was named the MVP of this season's All-Star game.

Loyd has missed only two games this season for the Storm. She's been averaging a career-high 24.4 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals with splits of 37.1 percent shooting from the field, 35.2 percent shooting from the three-point line and 89.6 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
