NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley has never shied away from ripping his old team, the Phoenix Suns.

Barkley, while visiting the Los Angeles Angels on Monday, said the Suns should be ashamed of themselves for losing to the Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors in back-to-back nights.

There was a point in the season where the Suns were in the thick of the playoff race out West. However, as the season has gone along, the Suns have come back down to earth and are once again on their way to missing the postseason. Phoenix is only 24-37 on the season. They are now in the 13th spot in the Western Conference standings.

The Suns have been a walking disaster for years and they haven’t made the playoffs since 2010. With that said, it’s up to Kelly Oubre Jr., Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton to turn the Suns around. It’s not going to be easy, though, since the Western Conference is tough as nails.

The only big move Phoenix made in free agency this past summer was signing point guard Ricky Rubio, although some might say the hiring of head coach Monty Williams was a step in the right direction.

The Suns are back in action on Tuesday at home against the Toronto Raptors.
